Why IIM?

Every teacher from kindergarten to graduate school gives research assignments. Always have—always will. It is the "stuff" of education.

Wired classrooms make it easy for students to get all types of information. State standards and tests demand research skills applications. And what about the millions of dollars that schools and parents are spending on high tech equipment?

Has all of this made our students better researchers than ever before?

Unfortunately not. Students—and their parents—cringe at research assignments. Hours on-line are unproductive. Cut and paste plagiarism is rampant. Glitzy, but shallow projects are commonplace.
